ABOUT THE CLASSES |
I have moved my advanced/beginning modern dance classes to Congregation Kehillath Israel.
While the address is 384 Harvard Street in Brookline, this is not the entrance for the classes. Please email me, [email protected], to receive information on entering the building. Classes meet Monday & Wednesday evenings, 6:30-7:45pm. Tuesday mornings, 10:15-11:30am. There is a Zoom class on Wednesday mornings, 10:30-11:30am. I send out a new link on Sundays so you must be on the class email list to receive it. Please let me know if you wish to be added. I hope to dance with you soon! |
Did you dance when you were younger?
Do you like the feeling of moving to music? Would you like to get back into dance in non-competitive environment? Lynn Modell's class brings together people who love to dance in a fun, supportive environment. Students have the experience of intelligent teaching accompanied by great music and lots of laughter. Lynn brings 35 years of experience as a dancer, choreographer and dance teacher (including 27 years at Brookline High School). She excels at tailoring each movement and combination to students with a range of abilities. The class typically begins with gentle movement for the back on the floor. The warm up continues with several standing exercises, then movement across the floor and finishes with a short combination. Music used for the class is usually a selection of lively, familiar tunes from the 70s and 80s. The class, designed for people who have studied some dance previously, is fun, energetic, safe and welcoming. |

It’s the highlight of my week. I always look forward to the music, the movement, the combinations and my fellow dancers, especially Lynn —L.G. |
